How We Trade
Our trading model is centred on physical delivery.
We do not simply match buyers and sellers - we take positions, manage logistics, and take ownership of the supply chain from source to destination. This physical orientation is what separates a credible trading operator from a broker. Term and spot supply arrangements across multiple product types. Structured access to our refinery offtake - not spot market only. Flexible logistics: sea freight, coastal and inland distribution, road transport. Counterparty relationships across refiners, national oil companies, distributors, and industrial consumers. Active risk management across price, logistics, and counterparty exposure.
Our Markets
Karama's trading activities are international.
We source across global refinery markets and can place product across multiple jurisdictions where margin and relationship justify the position. Africa is one of our primary focus markets - across sub-Saharan Africa in particular. Key demand centres include major port cities, industrial corridors, mining regions, aviation hubs, and fast-growing urban centres where fuel import dependency is high and supply reliability is a commercial premium.
Demand Sectors
Where energy is required.
Industrial and manufacturing, Mining and extractives, Aviation, Maritime and bunkering, Road haulage and logistics, Government and strategic reserve, Downstream retail and wholesale, Power generation (fuel oil and diesel).

Our Refinery Relationships
Refining access is the foundation of a global fuel trading business.
Karama Energies has established relationships with refineries that provide preferential access to product at source - not just spot market exposure, but structured supply that underpins our trading and distribution operations globally. Karama operates with access to refinery supply channels - through offtake arrangements, processing agreements, oil engagements, and commercial relationships with refining operators. These relationships give us product certainty, competitive pricing access, and the ability to offer consistent supply to our customers. Structured offtake arrangements with refinery operators. Processing and tolling arrangements for specific product specifications. Crude oil supply and product exchange structures. Refinery joint venture and participation positioning - as part of our longer-term infrastructure programme.
Upstream Positioning
Extending beyond offtake into direct participation.
Karama's longer-term refining strategy extends beyond offtake into direct participation - acquiring or developing stakes in refining capacity as part of our broader infrastructure platform. This mirrors the model of many other global players, all of which built significant refining positions as they scaled from trading into integrated energy operations. Refinery acquisition is part of our funded project pipeline. We are positioning for refinery participation as a core strategic priority.
Products from Our Refinery Relationships
Oil based derivatives.
Gasoline and diesel blendstocks, Jet fuel and aviation products, Fuel oil and marine products, Naphtha and petrochemical feedstocks, Bitumen and speciality products, LPG and light ends.

Wholesale Supply
Connecting trading and supply capabilities to end-market demand.
Wholesale and downstream operations are where Karama connects its trading and supply capabilities to end-market demand - through bulk supply to industrial and commercial customers, and through retail fuel distribution networks. Karama's wholesale business provides bulk fuel supply to: Industrial consumers: mining, manufacturing, power generation, construction, Aviation operators: airlines, airport authorities, fuel service companies, Maritime operators: shipping companies, port authorities, bunkering operators, Government and parastatal entities: strategic reserve, military, state enterprises, Distributors and secondary traders: regional and national fuel distributors, Utilities: fuel oil and diesel for power generation. Our wholesale model is structured around term supply agreements - providing customers with supply certainty, competitive pricing through our refinery access, and logistics management. We are not a spot seller - we build long-term supply relationships.
Downstream & Retail
Supply, acquisition, and development.
Karama's downstream strategy encompasses the supply of and both the acquisition of existing retail fuel networks and the development of new downstream fuel stations. Downstream retail network acquisition - a significant station network is part of our funded acquisition programme. New station development - Karama is developing new downstream fuel stations in targeted markets. Branded forecourt operations - building distribution reach, brand presence, and volume anchor points. Ancillary services: lubricant supply, LPG distribution, automotive products Downstream assets are strategically important beyond their direct earnings contribution. They create captive demand for our trading operations, establish brand presence in key markets, and provide the distribution infrastructure for a range of adjacent products and services.
